Filming on Location in Greater Nebraska

August 21, 2017 The Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the Nebraska Film Office are excited to announce the filming of three feature film projects on location in Nebraska. Independent filmmaker, Bob Byington will be filming on location in North Platte in September.  A comedy, Substitution is a story about a substitute teacher who is falsely accused of seducing a student. 2017 Coen Brothers Film

August 1, 2017 The Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the Film Office are excited to announce the filming of a major feature film in western Nebraska. “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” is a feature-length omnibus consisting of six separate stories, all Westerns. The majority of filming takes place in New Mexico and Colorado. The story set in Nebraska, “The Gal Who Got Rattled,” follows two trail bosses on the Oregon Trail and a woman on the wagon train who needs the help of one of them and who might be a marriage prospect for the other.
